He took dust from the earth and in the same way created Adam. Indeed, if He had said, “I am the one who took the dust of the earth and formed man,” it would have been difficult and unpleasant for His hearers to endure. But when he demonstrated the matter during real work, nothing would stop him. Therefore, when he took dust and mixed it with saliva, he revealed his hidden glory. For it is not an easy glory for them to believe that He is the Creator of creation.
